Technology is great. We wouldn't be able to survive as the company we are if it wasn't for many of the breakthroughs made in the past couple of decades regarding communications, processing power and availability.

However, as AI creeps more & more into all industries, we want to make it very clear where we stand ethically within our own industry and across the board.

We will only participate in the use of AI & models that are trained & available on a local network. While this means 'generative' AI isn't ruled out, it's implementation is extremely limited & far more ethical than what we are used to seeing online.

Locally available AI:

AI available without an internet connection.
ie. spellcheckers, auto-transcribe, translating, background removal, depth estimation, relighting, noise removal, vocal enhancement.

Non-local AI:

AI hosted on servers, trained on other people's creations & efforts, available via an internet connection.
ie. most examples of generative AI (images, video, music, voice) large-language models, AI code generation ("vibe-coding").

We don't see all non-local AI as inherently bad, however, we are yet to see it implemented ethically into the type of work we do, and won't be using it in the foreseeable future.

Our gaurantee is that everything from the works in OUR portfolio, to the code bringing you this website, and even the words you're reading right now are the product of a human being (or beings).

We strive to work with partners, clients & services who share our philosphy & look forward to a future where technology makes things possible, not generated.

ELECTUS is a media agency founded in singapore in 2018.

while we're currently based in australia, we continue to engage in work in singapore and abroad, with a portfolio that has both international presence and reach.

specialised in visual storytelling, especially in short & long-form video format, over the years, we've engaged in all types of visual mediums such as photography, website and graphic design to bring projects & campaigns to fruition.

from small business owners first dabbling in marketing to larger agencies looking to outsource entire productions, we're dedicated to working directly with clients and bringing your vision to life.

from the days of our inception, we've been committed to creating original works that focus on delivering bespoke, intentional results at every step of the process.

we hope that in a world of rushed and often lazy content, we can continue to create an authentic, human-made body of work that is as enjoyable to watch as it is to create.

For as long as she can remember, Ayu has wanted to be a filmmaker.
In Singapore, she completed a scholarship at a speciality international filmmaking program, earned a diploma in film and saw her first job on set before she'd even turned 18.

After 13 years in the industry, with a career that has spanned across many roles, productions and teams, she continues to inject her love for narrative filmmaking into every project she's a part of.

Ayu hopes to create work that  encourages the viewer to reflect on their own personal narratives & inspire change.

What begun as an unnassuming hobby for Tom in teenage years, somehow transformed into a full-time profession before he'd even realised.

Looking back on almost a decade of professional work, one thing has remained consistent: a love of learning and passion for problem solving.

starting off as a self-taught video editor and motion artist, Tom saw his beginnings as a means of bringing concepts into reality in a way that is unique and entertaining to watch, and sees his current role as an extension of that.
